Getting the right part, first time
- Give us the VIN. The same model can have different engines and parts by year and market. The VIN tells us exactly which car you have — check it with our VIN decoder.
- Engine code beats engine size. A "2.4 L Toyota" could be a 2AZ-FE or a 2AR-FE, and they don't swap. The code is stamped on the engine block and often in your logbook.
- Photograph the old part's label. Part numbers on labels or castings settle most questions.
- Used engines: ask what the warranty covers (usually that it starts and runs) and plan for new gaskets, belts and fluids when fitting.
