Terms and conditions
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply to the primeneeds.com.gh website and the car import brokerage services of Prime Needs Ventures ("we", "us"). By using the website or our services you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Our service
We provide vehicle import brokerage: we help clients buy, ship and clear vehicles from international markets (mainly the USA, Canada and Japan) to Ghana. Our standard service fee is stated clearly (US$150 for standard brokerage) and covers our brokerage work. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the client pays all other costs, including the vehicle price, auction fees, inland transport in the source country, ocean freight, marine insurance, duties, taxes, port charges, clearing fees and registration in Ghana.
Vehicle information and inspection
We rely on information, images and condition reports from auction houses (such as Copart and IAAI) and sellers. We aim to describe vehicles accurately and can arrange pre-purchase inspections where possible, at the client's expense. We are not responsible for a vehicle's pre-existing condition, or for differences that could not be identified from standard auction listings or the agreed inspection level. We strongly encourage detailed inspections for auction vehicles. Auction and in-transit vehicles are also subject to our AS-IS policy.
Payments
Payment for the vehicle and all associated costs must be made according to the schedule in your service agreement or invoice. Only pay into the accounts shown on our official invoice, and confirm them by phone with us first. Late payment may lead to storage fees, demurrage, cancellation of the order and forfeiture of deposits. Our service fee is generally non-refundable once a vehicle has been bid on or bought for you.
Shipping and delivery
Estimated arrival dates are guidelines and can change because of shipping schedules, port congestion, weather or customs processing. We are not liable for such delays. Risk of loss or damage passes to the client when the vehicle is handed to the shipping carrier, unless insurance terms say otherwise. We strongly recommend marine insurance for every vehicle.
Customs and duties in Ghana
The client is responsible for all import duties, taxes, levies, port charges and other government charges, and for clearing agents' fees. We can estimate these costs and connect you with clearing agents, but final amounts are set by the Ghanaian authorities, and compliance and payment remain the client's responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Ghanaian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from use of the service; from the acts of third parties (including auction houses, sellers, shipping lines and customs officials); or from information obtained through the service. Our total liability for any matter relating to the service is limited to the service fee you paid us for the transaction concerned.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will try to give at least 30 days' notice on the website or directly. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
